S-9:Fukuoka-zeki(dam) Cherry blossom

Fukuoka-zeki, a dam in the middle basin of Kokai river is well known cherry blossom’s spot in Kanto area. It’s 30km away from my home and 55km from Tokyo station. I visited here on 27th, Mar, ’21 after cycling on RinRin road near Mt.Tsukuba(pls refer to my C-13 article). Though it was too early in Mt.Tsukuba area but here in Fukuoka-zeki, cherry blossoms were 80%~full blooming. The row of cherry trees lasted 1.8km long. Many families were enjoying picnic under the trees.
From Fukuoka-zeki to my home(or to Tokyo), the cycling road on the Kokai river(pic.5) was convenient and comfortable though the road was sometimes suspended. And the rape blossoms were full blooming in that season.
When coming close to Toride city, I had to turn right to cross Tone river toward Kashiwa city. Then passing by Tega-numa(lake), I came back home. If going to Tokyo, just riding on Route-6 toward south is OK. But Route-6 is very busy road and careless about cyclists, so it’s better to get on a train at Toride station or Abiko station after finishing cycling on Kokai river bank.
